1958 Los Angeles,Bob Keane started Del-Fi Records and recorded to the latin Rock & Roll Singer Ritchie Valens.this charted #42 with their tune_Come On Let's Go. and Bob recruited other latin singers as the filipino/spanish Brothers Pete Antoniano and Jimmy Carlos with the intention of repeat the success.

Brothers Jimmy Carlos(17 years old) and Pete Antoniano(15 years old) from Los Angeles started singing at Banning High School in Wilmington under the name of The Shadows. They were very popular and Bob Keane of Del-Fi records auditioned the brothers and in September 1958 the label released their sides_Under Stars Of Love/Jungle Fever. As The Shadows.

Without success with this first recording the label issued in February 1959 _Tonight/Come On,Let’s Dance. As The Carlos Brothers(in these sides Ritchie Valens play guitar).and _It’s Time To Go/Little Cupid.

I worked with the Carlos Brothers during the late '50's at the Rock and Roll shows at the El Monte Legion Stadium, Harmony Park Ballroom in Anaheim, Long Beach Municipal Auditorium and several other SoCal venues. I played bass in the back up band. I just realized by reading this site they were not blood brothers. Seems they kept that fact hidden. Talented and exciting performers and classy guys.
