When The Emotions; Joe Favale(Lead),Tony Maltese(Tenor),Larry Cusamano(Second Tenor),Joe Nigro(Baritone) and Dom Collura(Bass) listen the lyrics of the song_We Three. by The Ink Spots the group hit upon the idea of creating a song based in the word"Echo" they written and recorded this song with the B side_Gone Dance Baby. in this session The Invictas play the instruments.



Finally these sides were released in the fall of 1962 on Kapp Records and_Echo. have to tremendous response the record made top #3 in the East Coast and in December,1962 charted #76 on the Billboard top 100.

 In spring of 1962 Kapp issued their second disc_L-O-V-E/A Million Reasons.without any success Tony Maltese left the group and were replaced by Sal Covais of the Hi-Tones/Shy-Tones.the group moved to Laurie Records where recorded one single_Starlit Night/Fools Paradise. but nothing happened with it.and was time again for a label change.


Now on 20th Century Fox Records the group recorded an uptempo version of The Nutmeg's classic_Story Untold. this made top #20 locally in the New York City area.Three more singles were released on 2oth but with the british invasion and the Soul sound the group change their sound.two more discs were released on Karate and Calla Records in 1964-65 and the group finally broke up.


In the 70's Joe Nigro formed a group called The Original Emotions and recorded for Johnson Records.in the early 80's The Emotions members were reactived as The Blue Emotions and recorded for Ambient Sound Records.
